Yes. I am making umeshu (梅酒) or plum wine with vodka. I am very excited with how it will turn out. I got plums from my tea sensei's backyard...yes they are organic. Then, I got crystalized sugar cubes(氷砂糖). Since shochu(焼酎) or soju was expensive here, I got a 1.8 litter bottle of vodka from BevMo.
I am supposed to wait for at least 6 months. That's a long time...
Hopefully this will save some money...lol
Now I am kind of looking into another kind of fruit.

My Father makes plum wine every year. I think I should try to make it too.
